Here is a little more about us and our journey
How We Got Started
Dicky Deans has spent most of his working life delivering intricate, time-sensitive, and bespoke solutions to the West End spending many years working in the scenery and theatre industry. He’s built sets for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hamlet, Harrods Christmas decorations, and was one of the craftsmen responsible for creating the stunning stadium Olympic Rings in 2012.
In recent years Dicky has turned his passion for building things to create high-quality Shepherds Huts and Glamping Pods. Dicky works with his wife Helen and a small team of skilled craftsmen to create stylish high-end products.
Dicky and Helen love their natural surrounding in the countryside and both share their passion and enthusiasm for wanting to get closer to nature. Creating shepherds huts that can sit in beautiful natural environments, uses Dicky’s skills as a designer and maker and Helen’s interior design background to produce stunning exteriors and homely living spaces.
We have a skilled group of skilled trades working with us to produce high-quality shepherds huts. In our workshop we make bespoke beds, kitchens, and other furniture to suit each individual shepherds hut. Each shepherds hut we build is unique, they are robust and are is built to last.
We work with our customers to design layouts that suit their hut’s end-use and offer interior design advice to help create the “right feel/ mood” inside the hut. Whether you are looking for cozy cottage, industrial, luxurious, rustic we can help you achieve the look you are visualising and turn it into the shepherds hut of your dreams.
Our workshop is situated on a rural farm on the outskirts of the pretty village of Barcombe, near Lewes in East Sussex.
