January 2021

Well, welcome to January 2021. It’s a new year so what better time to start writing a monthly journal to keep you up to date with our latest news.

January has been a very busy month in our workshop and at home. We currently are building some unique shepherds huts in our workshop in a variety of different sizes. My wife Helen is juggling homeschooling (during this lockdown) with work and is still available to answer emails, send quotes and liaise with you to help you design stunning interiors of your shepherd’s huts.

We are near completion on a 14′ x 7′ shepherds hut that is having an unpainted interior so that the client can use her artistic skills and decorate it herself.

Being completed is a  stylish brightly coloured shepherds hut, featuring shades of orange and yellow that will tie in with the curtain fabric. This 20′ x 8′ hut features a double stable door, double bed and toilet room with a compost toilet. Its owner is looking forward to enjoying time with her granddaughter in the hut, reading to her and drawing and painting when the coronavirus threat is over.

A wonderful 18′ x 8′ shepherds hut that has a lovely vintage-looking interior with floral fabric and tones of blue, pink and cream. This hut features some pretty decorative wall lights and is fitted with a shower room, enclosed double bed with pull out table, sofa bed, small kitchenette and log burner and it will be clad on the outside with black corrugated steel.

We will be showing more photos of these huts shortly.

February 2021

February started as a cold month, with ice on the ground, and sadly in our part of Sussex just a scattering of snow. Our workshop was pretty freezing, but luckily we were warm and toasty whilst we were working inside the shepherd’s huts.

February has been a busy month, finishing off the vintage-style shepherd’s hut and a Mediterranean-style shepherd’s hut.

We have also built our very first 24′ x 9′ shepherds hut which is to be used as a home office. With more of us working from home we all need a quiet space where we can work without interruption. This modern 24′ x 9′ shepherds hut, features under-floor heating, aluminum framed double glazed windows, an oak desk, engineered oak wooden flooring. The walls are a subtle grey. This is a spacious shepherd’s hut with an office one end and a kitchen the other, it will double up as an entertaining space once we are allowed to socialize with friends and family again. It has a separate compost toilet in the far corner, allowing guests to comfortably stay overnight on a sofa bed.
